Join TAP-Chicago to celebrate Double Ten Day (雙十節), which occurs annually on October 10th. For this special occasion, TAP-Chicago is having a holiday dinner at Vora with special off-menu Taiwanese dishes!

For Taiwan, Double Ten is similar to the Fourth of July for the USA, as it commemorates the start of the uprisings in 1911 that led to the collapse of the Qing dynasty and the establishment of the Republic of China. Overseas Chinese and Taiwanese played a key role in the birth of the ROC because founding father Sun Yat-Sen received support from many overseas communities. Large Double Ten Day parades o ccur annually all over Taiwan and in the Chinatowns of San Francisco and Chicago.

Because Vora is buying ingredients specifically for this meal, tickets are limited and attendees must RSVP on Facebook and make advance payment using the WePay link here: https://www.wepay.com/events/tenten
