Serving at A Just Harvest Community Kitchen

Join TAP-Chicago at A Just Harvest where we will be serving at Chicago’s largest community soup kitchen. A Just Harvest is focused on providing a welcoming and respectful environment in which food is served, as those in need are often treated without the respect most of us are accustomed to. This is a fantastic opportunity to team with other TAP-Chicago volunteers in aiding less fortunate Chicagoans through this relentless winter.

A Just Harvest’s Community Kitchen began in 1983. Originally serving meals a few days per week, the Community Kitchen now serves hot meals 365 days a year with the help of more than 40 partnering organizations and nearly 10,000 volunteer hours. In 2012, the Community Kitchen served more than 54,000 meals.
