Located at the epicenter of Chicago’s River North neighborhood, Vinyl is the premier place to enjoy a comfortable and casual atmosphere, designed to please all of your senses. In addition to this month’s mixer, we will be running a school supply donation drive, and accepting brand new school supplies for The Franklin Fine Arts Center. Not all of the Chicago Public League Schools can afford programs which support the fine arts. The Franklin Fine Arts Center provides a foundation for progressing to higher levels of achievement by ensuring all students a rich Fine Arts education. They accomplish this goal by providing a challenging educational program: encouraging students to work collaboratively; focusing on individual learning styles; developing life and social skills; and promoting respectful behavior toward peers and adults.

The happy hour will take place at Vora on Friday the 13th, which also happens to be the day before Valentine’s Day. What better way to end a busy work week than meeting up old friends over drinks and food, or come out and network with new people. The 7th Annual Lunar Ball, Chicago’s largest fundraiser for Asian American young professionals and friends, will be held on Saturday, March 7th at the Chicago History Museum. Come join TAP-Chicago and UIAAAN (University of Illinois Asian American Alumni Network) for our annual BBQ at the beautiful Montrose Beach to finish off the long weekend and the summer in style. Besides the mouth-watering barbeque, warm weather and great company, there’s going to be nets for beach volleyball and plenty of sand for football, frisbee, etc. Don’t miss out on the fantastic party and chance to network/meet new and old friends.

Join TAP-Chicago for their January mixer and winter coat drive event at Henry’s Swing Club, located in the heart of River North, but not your typical River North style venue. Henry’s swing club is part of the DMK family, and boasts over 20+ different types of gourmet sliders.
We will be working with another amazing and deserving organization, Heartland Alliance, to collect gently used winter coats that will be distributed to families this winter. Heartland Alliance’s mission is to advance the human rights and respond to the human needs of endangered populations—particularly the poor, the isolated, and the displaced—through the provision of comprehensive and respectful services and the promotion of permanent solutions leading to a more just global society.
